Spirit Week:  The theme for this year’s winter sports is #rave. Please use good judgment in choosing outfits for this fun week. If you are not dressing up for the spirit days, you must be in full uniform. Thursday is vibrant day. Pull out your brightest neon and be brilliant today.

 

Reminder:  Outside date forms for winter sports are due to Mr. Whitney by noon today.

 

Dance Tickets:  Dance tickets will be on sale all week during lunches.  They are $6 each and must be purchased in advance.  The dance will be on Saturday, February 10 from 8-11.  You must arrive by 8:30 and will not be allowed to leave until 10:30.  Any questions, see Ms. Herman.

 

Spring Musical: Tickets for the Hayden Theater production of “Merrily We Roll Along” are now on sale. Tickets are $15 for reserved seating and $10 for general admission. Tickets may be purchased online at haydentheater.org or at all A-day lunches. Discounted tickets for Hayden students can be purchased at lunches only for $7.50.

 

Mens Swimming: Hayden Men’s Swimming took 4th Place at the Emporia Invitational on Monday led by 4 top 5 finishes:

200 Medley Relay (Aiden Zuletta, Caleb Gish, Matt Mattivi, Rhett Jay) – 4th Place

100 Butterfly – Matt Mattivi – 1st Place

100 Backstroke – Matt Mattivi – 1st Place

400 Free Relay (Jinu Jung, Hudson Ramirez, Rhett Jay, Tanner Becker) – 5th Place

 

Signing: Brent Peavler will sign with Washburn University today at 3:10 in the Cafeteria. DeShawn Hanika will also sign today with Butler County. Congratulations Brent & DeShawn!

 

Writers´ Circle:  Students interested in Writers’ Circle will meet today at 3:10 in room 107.

 

Candidates:  Our third king candidate is Hayden Federico.  Hayden is the son of John and Joelle Federico and is a member of Christ the King parish.  Hayden’s accomplishments include student council class vice president-1 year, student council representative-1 year, honor roll-2 years, campus ministry-1 year, faith in action-1 year, house captain-2 years, football-1 year, basketball-4 years, tennis-4 years, PAL basketball coach-1 year.

 

Our third queen candidate is Jadyn Jay.  Jadyn is the daughter of Dreu Jay and Ben and Tina Albright and is a member of Sacred Heart/St. Joseph parish.  Jadyn’s accomplishments include superior honor roll-4 years, student council-4 years, NHS-3 years, student ambassador-3 years, house leader-2 years, art club-1 year, volleyball-1 year, track-1 year, chess club-2 years, cross country-3 years, basketball-4 years, swimming-3 years.
