Tuesday, October 8 – B Day

Wednesday’s spirit day is “RANCH DRESSING” so let’s see all the cowboys and cowgirls and show us your boots, flannel shirts, and cowboy hats because everybody loves ranch!!!

Thursday’s spirit day is “LETTUCE PRAY” for our celebration of homecoming liturgy. Look sharp and be sharp in your pants, white shirts, ties and belts, and approved jackets.

Friday’s spirit day is “MIXED GREENS”. Let’s get ready for the big game against Bishop Ward and mix up the school spirit as we show that its a great day to be a Wildcat. Get out all your navy, gold, and white and cheer our Wildcats onto victory!!! 

This year’s homecoming parade will be at the football stadium on Friday, October 11 at 1:00 pm. The assembly will be immediately following the parade in the gym. We hope you can join us!

 

Homecoming dance tickets will be on sale at all lunches beginning next week. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased in advance. Outside dates are welcome, but must be approved.  Forms for outside dates are available from Ms. Herman or Mrs. Harrison and must be turned in to Mr. Tush tomorrow. Any questions, see Ms. Herman.

 

Sophomore student council is sponsoring a supply drive for Helping Hands Humane Society. Please consider donating items such as towels, laundry detergent, small pet treats, cans of pumpkin, or other items found on the “Pamper a Puppy Project” wish list on the Helping Hands website. Collection boxes will be located outside all theology classrooms through October 9. Please prayerfully consider donating. Thank you for helping us to take care of all God’s creatures!!

 

Tickets for the Hayden Theater fall production of “The Taming of the Shrew” will be on sale at all lunches this week. Performances are October 18, 19 & 20. General admission tickets are $7.50.

 

Congratulations to Debaters Sean McConnell, Marcel Pryor, Ava Lemon, and Gary Wang for their hard work at the Junction City-Manhattan Cooperative tournament! Pryor/McConnell finished 4-1 in 2nd place. Wang/Lemon finished in 7th place with a 2-3 record. Based on tie breaks Hayden came out on top for first place sweeps plaque! 

 

Congratulations to Chess Team members Graidon Nichol, William Sevy, Joshua Anderson and Emilio Guttierez for their 4th place finish at Christ the King’s tournament last weekend. Job well done to Graidon who finished with 4 points on the day to medal 8th in the tournament. William finished with 3 points, Joshua with 2.5 points and Emilio with 2 points. 

 

Congratulations to the Hayden cross country team who competed at Baldwin on Saturday. There were numerous personal records and season best performances. Congrats in particular to Tanner Newkirk, Dawson Adams, and Hayden Haas for earning medals in their races. Way to go, Wildcats!

 

Senior & Juniors don’t forget that the College & Career Day is October 9, from 2:53 to 3:00 pm.  Field Trip Permission Slips are due tomorrow to Mrs. Blanchette.

 

Junior & Sophomores sign up for the PSAT test being held on Wednesday, October 16, at 8:00 in the bingo room.  The cost of the test is $20.00 and you will receive a book that will help with the test. Sign up with Mrs. Blanchette
