Congratulations to the Hayden Thespians who had a very successful weekend at the state festival in Wichita. Our troupe was recognized as a Gold Honor Troupe, the highest award for a Thespian troupe. The cast of our one act play, “Rabbit Hole” (Nick Quaney, Emma Teply & Tyler Tiede) was 3rd in state. In individual events, Audrey Kuta received a superior rating and an invitation to the national festival for her musical theater solo, “Pretty Funny”. Ann Stegman, Tyler Tiede, Ainslee Oliver, Christa Nioce, Trinity Abril & Emma Teply received a superior rating for their group acting selection from “Pride and Prejudice” which received the highest score in their category and was performed before a full house at the IE Showcase on Friday night. They have also been invited to the national festival in June. Last but not least, Ann Stegman was re-elected to serve as a State Thespian Officer for a second year. Great job Thespians!
