Thursday, October 3 – B Day

Sophomore student council is sponsoring a supply drive for Helping Hands Humane Society. Please consider donating items such as towels, laundry detergent, small pet treats, cans of pumpkin, or other items found on the “Pamper a Puppy Project” wish list on the Helping Hands website. Collection boxes will be located outside all theology classrooms through October 9. Please prayerfully consider donating. Thank you for helping us to take care of all God’s creatures!

Homecoming dance tickets will be on sale at all lunches beginning next week. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased in advance. Outside dates are welcome, but must be approved.  Forms for outside dates are available from Ms. Herman or Mrs. Harrison and must be turned in to Mr. Tush by Wednesday, October 9. Any questions, see Ms. Herman.

**Reminders about the dance…if you are attending, you must be at the dance 30 minutes after the end of the football game and will not be permitted to leave until 11:30 pm. Please enter through the foyer in between the cafeteria and the gym. If you purchase a ticket but do not show up, your parents/guardians will be contacted. All Hayden events are drug/alcohol free so expect to be breathalyzed upon entry. The dance ends at midnight, please arrange for your rides to pick you up at midnight, and finally, remember WE ARE HAYDEN, please use good judgment and manners at the dance.

The theme for homecoming this year is “a Healthy Dose of School Spirit”. Please refer to the handbook for the guidelines concerning non-uniform days and use good judgment in selecting outfits. Also remember that if you are not participating, you must be in full uniform. Monday’s theme is “HOUSE SALAD ” since there is no school, stay home and prepare for homecoming.

Tuesday’s spirit day is “THOUSAND ISLAND DRESSING” so pull out the beach wear, Hawaiian shirts, flip flops, and flower leis and celebrate the tropics!

Wednesday’s spirit day is “RANCH DRESSING” so let’s see all the cowboys and cowgirls and show us your boots, flannel shirts, and cowboy hats because everybody loves ranch!!!

Thursday’s spirit day is “LETTUCE PRAY” for our celebration of homecoming liturgy. Look sharp and be sharp in your pants, white shirts, ties and belts, and approved jackets.

Friday’s spirit day is “MIXED GREENS”. Let’s get ready for the big game against Bishop Ward and mix up the school spirit as we show that its a great day to be a Wildcat. Get out all your navy, gold, and white and cheer our Wildcats onto victory!!!

This year’s homecoming parade will be at the football stadium on Friday, October 11 at 1:00 pm. The assembly will be immediately following the parade in the gym. We hope you can join us!
