Please join us for the rosary tomorrow at 7:30 in the chapel.

Starting today you need to have money in your account to be able to eat school lunch. The cafeteria needs all accounts up-to-date. If you don’t have money in your account you will not be able to eat. Please ask your parents to contact Debbie Bosch in the cafeteria if they have any questions.

The seniors are selling candy cane grams at all lunches to help raise money for our adopted Christmas families. For only $1 you can surprise your friends with a sweet note and a candy cane…so don’t be a grinch and support this awesome cause and show your friends, teachers, coaches, and staff how amazing they are.

Want Sonic during school? Well, next week is your chance. The SADD Club is sponsoring a Sonic delivery fundraiser next Monday-Thursday. During lunch, students can buy a Sonic drink for themselves or for a friend and pick it up in the cafeteria on Friday morning. You can buy a regular drink for $3 or a specialty drink for $5. Don’t pass up this great opportunity!

Study Hall updates: There will be no after school study hall offered Monday – Thursday (12/10-12/13).  Saturday, December 15 will be the last study hall offered before finals.

Congratulations to our Hayden Debaters for a phenomenal weekend at two different schools this weekend. First, the teams of Madi Gates/Chris Burroughs, Sean McConnell/Joshua Anderson and Charlie Roeder/Jack Dunshee earned an overall 4-6 record at the National Speech and Debate Association Flint Hill’s Qualifier hosted at Washburn Rural on Dec. 7 and 8. Novice debaters McConnell/Anderson impressively won a round, before being eliminated on Friday night. Roeder/Dunshee had an unprecedented run for Hayden Catholic High School, going an undefeated 3-0 on Friday night before being eliminated on Saturday morning. The duo finished in the top 10, narrowly missing the“go” round, where the winner advances to the national competition. Second, congratulations to the pair of Alejandro Calderon and Thomas Doyle who debated to a 3-2 record at Tonganoxie High School on Dec. 8. Thomas is now qualified along Charlie Roeder, Jack Dunshee, Rachel Grollmes, Alexa Scheer, and Alejandro Calderon for the 2-speaker post season KSHSAA State tournament! Again, congrats to all of these debaters for their hard work!

Attention Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John communities! Please show your awesome stewardship at this year’s basketball home games by keeping your school clean! Pick up the trash around you and in our gym! Mark you are blessed to be in charge tomorrow night as we host Topeka High School.
