Congratulations to Charlie Roeder who qualified for the national forensics competition in Fort Lauderdale in June. His original oration, “Why Facts Don’t Change Your Mind”, was presented at the Flint Hills District Qualifier this past weekend at Silver Lake High School. Marcel Pryor also reached the finals at the tournament placing 5th in Domestic Extemp.

 

Hayden Theater presents Dramarama this Saturday at 6:00pm. Tickets are available online at haydentheater.org or from Mr. Radziejeski. All proceeds help pay the cost for 16 Hayden thespians to attend the International Thespian Festival in June where they will be presenting their production of “Radium Girls”.

 

There will not be study hall after school today.

Congratulations to James Nioce, Cade Davis, Brett Funk, and Jack Ossello for winning first place at the Kansas State History Day competition last Saturday with their historic performance titled “The Standard Dilemma”.  The group now has the opportunity to represent Kansas at the national competition in June at the University of Maryland. Congratulations also to Katherine Davidson, Chelsea Hernandez, and Isabelle Pryor for earning third place with their exhibit titled “The Unknown Epidemic”.
