SACRAMENTS & DEVOTIONS

The celebration of the Sacraments are paramount to the Catholic faith, and as such are an important part of the education at Hayden Catholic High School.

Under the direction of the school’s Chaplain, Fr. Thomas Maddock and with the support of the region’s priests, Hayden Catholic High School offers the following Sacraments:

MASS

Mass is offered Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 1:00 PM in the Chapel. During the football season, Friday Mass is also celebrated at 3:15 PM. Liturgies are also celebrated for all Holy Days of Obligation that fall during the school week. Additionally, Hayden attends Mass together every month as a whole community. Parents and alumni are always welcome to attend any of the school’s liturgies.

CONFESSION

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered twice a week during lunches (Wednesday at 11 AM and Friday at 12 PM), as well as anytime by scheduling an appointment with Fr. Maddock. Additionally, a school-wide penance service is offered during Advent and Lent.

ROSARY

The Rosary is offered three days a week led by different campus ministry student groups.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

Eucharistic Adoration is offered every Friday. Students are invited weekly to sign up for a 20 minute time slot to adore Jesus. The entire school celebrates Adoration with Archbishop Naumann every Spring.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK

Any student or alumni in need of anointing is welcome to contact Fr. Maddock to schedule the Sacrament.
