Girls planning to play soccer and currently not involved in a winter sport, should attend a short meeting today after school in the library. If you are unable to attend, please contact Coach Kreutzer.

Guidelines for the game: 2 parents/guardians will be allowed to attend.
Parents should check in under their son’s name at the North Doors at Seaman.
Temperature Checks, Masks and Social Distancing will be required.

Do not arrive prior to 5:30 pm and leave immediately after the game.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the dress down day for Diaper cakes! We were able to purchase 4,440 diapers that we will use for creating our diaper cakes and eventually donating to Catholic Charities and Birthright!
Girls interested in softball are invited to attend a short meeting after school today in Mr. Reynoldson’s room.

Tuesday, January 19 – A Day
Hayden Debate Update! This weekend the Hayden Debate team competed at 4A 2-Speaker State. Freshman/Sophomore pair Reagan Huscher and Lexi Herrera wind up with a 2-4 record which is solid for this young team. Cole Scheer and Chris Burroughs would go 4-2 missing the top 8 by a few speaker points. Marcel Pryor and Sean McConnell would go 5-1 in prelims capturing the 2nd seed. They would go on to best Tonganoxie, Louisburg, and Fort Scott to become State Champions! The last time Hayden won State was 24 years ago. Way to go Wildcats!

Congratulations to our boys swim team who finished 5th overall at the Topeka West invite on Tuesday/Wednesday and we finished 4th at the Emporia Invite on Thursday. A special congratulations to Hudson Ramirez for qualifying for state in the 500 freestyle on Wednesday and for winning the 100 butterfly on Thursday!

Tuesday, January 12 – A Day
Hayden Debate Update! Last weekend the teams of Chris Burroughs and Cole Scheer and Marcel Pryor and Sean McConnell competed at the Kansas Debate Classic. To attend this tournament competitors must have a 60% win percentage across 4 regular season tournaments. Chris and Cole finished with an impressive 3-3 record. Marcel and Sean went undefeated in prelims, going into break rounds as the top seed. Marcel also won a speaker award, placing 2nd overall out of 80 speakers. The pair would lay waste to Blue Valley North, Lawrence High, and Free State to become KDC Champions.
