of Hayden students receive Tuition Assistance

Tuition Assistance

Hayden Catholic High School provides a generous program of tuition assistance. Tuition assistance is available to families who demonstrate a financial need. The application process begins in October.  Applications are reviewed by the Hayden Tuition Assistance Committee and awards will be made in mid-February. In the event of an unforeseen circumstance later in the school year, please contact the school as we want to partner with families.

Some Hayden Catholic High School students receive tuition assistance through the Hayden Summer Work Program. The Tuition Assistance Committee will determine a program that will work for applicants who are awarded tuition assistance.

Hayden Summer Work Program

The Hayden Summer Work Program provides an opportunity for students to assist the Hayden Staff during the summer. Funds earned are used to help defray some of the tuition expenses. The Financial Assistance Committee will determine which students would qualify for this program.

Some Catholic Schools Qualify for CEF and/or Tax Credits

For K-8 Schools Student Eligibility Requirements

All new K-8 students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch are now eligible to receive the CEF Tax Credit Scholarships for the 2021-2022 school year (pending the availability of funds, regardless of where they live in Kansas. The new legislation removed the unfair restriction that students must live within the boundaries of the 100 lowest-performing schools in Kansas.

In addition to qualifying for federal free or reduced-price lunch, eligible students must prove Kansas residency and meet these criteria:

  • The new student must be entering K-8th grade in the 2021-22 school year, and
  • The new student must have previously attended any public Kansas elementary or middle school (including virtual school within a public school district), or
  • The student is an incoming kindergartener
